Brian Rogers

Brian is one of this country's leading commercial stage and television Choreographers and Directors. His distinctive choreography is constantly featured both here in the U.K. and overseas. He has employed many dancers over the years and worked with a wide variety of stars including Cliff Richard, Tina Turner, Cher, Boyzone, Spice Girls, Eternal - the list really is endless! The knowledge that Brian has gained throughout his career is put to good use here at 'Performers'. Not only is he able to bring many guest teachers from the world of entertainment covering dance, lighting, music and sound, but his ongoing contacts with the top people in this industry make him a unique teacher of the profession. Brian's enthusiastic rapport with his students ensure that they absorb every ounce of his professional expertise and experience. He is tasked with introducing our students into the profession via the Performers Dance Company.
 

Susan Stephens

Susan Stephens, Major Examiner for the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, trained at the Bush Davies School, and has many years of teaching experience to her credit. Susan was at one time on the ISTD sub-committee for Tap. As a lecturer and adjudicator she has travelled the British Isles fairly extensively. As well as teaching students at the college, Susan is in demand as a lecturer for teacher’s refresher classes in most subjects. Susan has supplied students to demonstrate new grade work at the ISTD congress and supplied students for the many ISTD Teaching Videos. One of her responsibilities at Performers is ensuring that the training is balanced and the curriculum adhered to. Former students of Susan Stephens are working around the world and in the West End theatres, Ballet Companies, on television and in the fashion world.
 

Jan Rogers

After several years as a professional TV and recording artiste with the vocal group 'Champagne', Jan then pursued a solo career worldwide including TV stage and films. Although she has appeared in films such as James Bond's 'Octopussy' and numerous commercials and video's, many will remember her as presenter on BBC TVs 'Crackerjack'. Also on television, Jan has worked with many top names including Morecambe & Wise, Jim Davidson, Mike Yarwood, Bruce Forsyth. Television appearances on shows include 'Starburst', '3-2-1', 'Video Entertainers', and 'I Feel Fine'. On stage Jan has appeared in various summer seasons and pantomimes alongside celebrities including Russ Abbott and Jimmy Tarbuck. Apart from running the Performers Agency and advising graduating students on auditions and contracts, Jan plays an important role in keeping a watchful eye on the students preparation for professional life.
 

Mike Stephens

Mike has had a great deal of experience in the day to day running of a large successful dance school and has advised many parents, dancers and teachers on career matters. He is responsible for administration and special projects at the College and assists in the running of the agency. Mike is also tour organiser for the highly successful and unique BRIAN ROGERS DANCE TOUR and has produced and directed productions with much success. He was also a founder member on the Executive Committee of the Essex Regional Dance Council. Mike envisages great things for Performers College and is always researching new and innovative ways for the College to keep abreast of current requirements and teaching methods. This ensures Performers remains continually progressive and unique.
