Principle Lecturer - Acting

Theatre & Performance Career

As an actor, Judith's theatre work has included seasons with the RSC, York Theatre Royal and English Touring Theatre. Additionally, her international touring includes work in Moscow with Major Road Theatre. Furthermore, she toured the UK, Eire and Germany with the Actors' Touring Company, playing Ophelia. Subsequently, she toured South and Central America and Jamaica. Moreover, her television work includes Modotti and Mary Anning for Channel 4 and presenting the Children's Channel.

Voice Training & Education

After having twins, Judith won a scholarship to train as a voice teacher at Central School of Speech and Drama. Additionally, she gained an MA with Distinction. Furthermore, she has taught at Central, East 15, Rose Bruford College, Kensington and Chelsea College, and Chichester College. Moreover, she worked at ACT Brighton and from 2009 to 2020, served as Head of Voice at LAMDA.

Professional Voice Coaching

As a voice coach, Judith has worked on all the Mischief productions. These include Play that Goes Wrong, Comedy About A Bank Robbery and Peter Pan Goes Wrong in the West End and on tour. Additionally, her other coaching includes Sheila's Island, Yvonne Arnaud Guildford and national tour. Furthermore, she worked on The Elephant Man (Sheffield Crucible), Single Spies (Rose Theatre), and Erpingham Camp for Hydrocracker at the Brighton Festival.

Corporate & Private Coaching

Judith's work as a voice and acting coach has included training radio presenters for the National Broadcasting School. Additionally, she works with many individual clients from a wide range of professions from acting to medicine. Furthermore, her corporate private clients include Unilever and the Body Shop. Moreover, she has run workshops for the National Theatre, Hydrocracker Theatre Company, Oxford University, The Voice Care Network, Goldsmiths and Warwick University.

International Experience

Judith's international work has included delivering workshops at the Santa Fe Shakespeare Festival, City College New York, and Pasadena Playhouse, LA. Additionally, she has worked at the Moscow Arts Theatre.

Academic Recognition

Judith is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Educational Authority. Furthermore, she has worked as an External Examiner for the University of Surrey. Currently, she serves as External Examiner for Mountview.
